Welcome to the website for the community-owned Isle of Gigha, the most southerly and one of the most beautiful of the Hebridean Islands. Seven miles long by a mile and a half wide, Gigha is situated three miles west of the Kintyre peninsular, approximately three hours drive from the City of Glasgow.  Gigha is breathtaking – sandy beaches, clear green seas, a host of wildlife… There are also world renowned Gardens to explore – viewed by the islanders as the “Jewel in the Crown”. This website can only be introduction to Gigha – you have to visit to appreciate its beauty and tranquillity.

The Isle of Gigha Calendar has now arrived and is ready for your order.  Contact the Trust Office on 01583 505390 or use the Paypal facility on the calendar page to order online.

The stunning cover shot – an underwater portrait of Laura, opens up twelve great pictures of Gigha folk, scenery and activities.   Each month has a theme and a main picture is flanked by thumbnail shots.

The camera was wielded by well known professional photographer Simon McComb who kindly donated his time to the island.
